The placement activities at NIILM – CMS are coordinated by the placement committee
which comprises of representatives from the faculty & student body headed by
the Assistant Director Corporate Relations.
PRE PLACEMENT TALKS:
The institute invites pre-placement talks from the recruiters in the months
of September and October to interact with the students and give them a brief about
the career opportunities provided by their company.
Lateral Placements:
Around 20% of the graduating students of NIILM – CMS bring tremendous value
to the institute through their learning in different domains along with their practical
experiences. The lateral placement process allows recruiters and students with work-
experience to interact. The positions to be offered should be of higher than the
entry level positions depending on the duration and relevance of a candidate's work-experience.
Final Placements:
Companies are invited to the campus to conduct their recruitment process
to select students for final placements. The recruiters are requested to indicate
well in advance their selection procedure before coming to the campus in order to
facilitate the process conveniently.
Summer Placements:
The students in the first year of their PGDM program have to undergo training
with an organization for a period of 8 to 10 weeks i.e. from April to June. The
summer internship is inculcated in the program to give the students a platform to
apply the concepts learned in the classroom and to get equipped with practical knowledge
with first hand experience.
